Harmonizer and ALL of it’s new art stuff!

Welcome back to another week of blogging that definitely wasn’t preceded by a missed week! Totally still on a one a week schedule! Anywho, this week will not be the hinted at Estria focused blog post. Instead, this week, we’re doing a round of updates and a reveal of ALL the art stuff that Harmonizer now has! There’s a lot, plus we’ll include some that were previously shown off. Let’s get to it!

Harmonizer’s World Map

Just like the Sapphire Verdict, Harmonizer now has a world map, but it comes with a catch. Unlike the Sapphire Verdict, this map is but a small piece of what the map will eventually be and focuses on the areas already covered in the first three books! As books are completed, new parts of the world map will become visible. Don’t worry! There’s still plenty to admire. Take a look!

At the current heart of this map is, of course, Ankila, Vianna’s home city! You can really appreciate the dry, craggy badlands surrounding the city and understand fully just how miserable life here probably is. For those that follow the book, you will know that Vianna’s path then went north through Panthrimar and finally to the Tower of the Gods! Here, she learned of her Harmonizer bloodline and the larger quest set before her, sending her up north and into the mountains where she ultimately faced off against Visunna.

Though not yet released, Vianna’s second adventure takes her further north into the deepest reaches of Tan’tria. Here, she faced off against the frozen wilderness, found respite in the town of Frostpeak, and then faced the might of the Steel Legion within their fortress, Spearhead! As if that wasn’t enough, her journey then took her to face Garondar, the Cavern Crawler!

Vianna’s journey, of course, isn’t over there. In Stampede, her journey took her south into the desert of Mahabata! After finding a merchant willing to ferry them across the desert, Vianna found herself on a wild, winding journey through the dunes! She explored the roaming caravans, made some unexpected friends in Paha’una, and stopped by Kaligra to search for a potential Guardian. After a tumultuous crossing through the canyons and a battle against ‘the stampede’ Vianna and her friends arrived south to the town of Fultheros, a vast city nestled in the dunes! With some assistance from a new friend, Vianna and her friends faced Brogahn, the Desert Shepherd, and the full might of his stampede!

While this is the map as it currently has been revealed, more is soon to follow! In fact, you may want to keep an eye on that eastern frontier. There are murmurings of Steel Legion activity within the swamp as well as a sighting of an immense leviathan haunting the watery canals, but most peculiar of all are the rumors of a witch capable of driving even the most stalwart warriors mad…

Tan’Tria and Environment Pieces

As a part of my efforts to bring Harmonizer to life, I’ve started creating numerous environment pieces focus on different parts of the Harmonizer world! The first piece I have worked on is Tan’tria, given how important these mountains are to the first two books. Have a look!

With the fall of night, Tan’tria becomes a truly foreboding, cold landscape, but there is still beauty to be found! In the darkness, away from the cities, stars fill the sky, and the ever watchful blue moon shines its gaze across the vast, mountain landscape! In this particular example, the mountains are snow covered, but this is the southern side of Tan’tria. The snow isn’t quite as thick as one would find to the north, but it’s still not somewhere I would want to stay for long!

This particular art style is one I’ve been honing for over a year now and was inspired by the work of Blue Turtle! They tend to use lines to create texture in simple ways, and that was something my brain was able to process! My hope is to take it further and upload a fully animated version of this piece to Youtube and copy what others have done with a music playlist in the background. It should be quite entertaining when done, and it won’t be alone!

Though it is still early in the process, Mahabata will be the focus of the next environment piece! Below, you can already see how far it has come. I could talk more about this, but I’ll save it for when both it AND its twin are done! I’ve got something exciting cooking here!

Last on the list is Ankila! I hired an artist, Nazrud, on Vgen and got them to create this piece for me!

This piece focuses on a small part of the city of Ankila, specifically it’s eastern side. You can get an idea of the mining pit at the city’s heart as well as some of the buildings perched atop the surrounding cliffs. Additionally, on the far side, you can see the scholarium in all of its four towered glory! This piece was an interesting experiment of having others do some art for me, and you can definitely expect to see more in the future!

There will be a Harmonizer/Sapphire Verdict themed channel soon! This channel will be all about creating video content centered around my universe. This will include the music playlists already mentioned, videos showing the art process, and readings of various chapters. I’ll also do in depth dives into my characters once I have more art to show off! For now, this will be on Youtube only, but I do expect to move it to other platforms as I get more comfortable. Harmonizer Updates

I’ll keep this one brief since the rest has been so long. Stampede is full in progress as is right at the halfway point if I have done my math right. That means that I should be good to have my part completed on time, but cover art is proving… annoying. My main cover artist has completely missed their deadline, and now it’s carving into Stampede. I will probably have to engage another cover artist at this point to try and keep things on track, so more info on that soon. Ultimately what this means is that they are probably going to be releasing almost back to back.

Other Art

Since this has already become an art dump. Let’s wrap this week up with something unique! Full art dumpage! Bellow, you can find a smattering of the other Harmonizer art pieces that have been uploaded over the past few months! For now, this is all I’ve got!
