End of May Updates!

Aaaaaaaaaand we’re back again with some May updates! This month has been a whirlwind, so finding time to do these blogs has been a little rough, but I managed to squeeze out some time to get this updated once again! A lot has happened, so let’s start from the top!

Harmonizer: The Lonely Fortress

As of three or so days ago, the Lonely Fortress… is complete! It has been fully written, edited, and modified into a fully complete manuscript! I could just go ahead and throw it out there, but need a cover first, and I’m still waiting for the artist to complete it. While I had hoped for it to be released before May was over, it is delayed indefinitely until the artist gets me that cover. Until then, however, I can provide at least something juicy here, so here it is!

After facing off against one Guardian, Vianna had no intention of ever picking up the Harmonizer mantle again, but fate takes a turn when it’s revealed that the cure for Aiya did not completely work. With no other option, Vianna, Feera, and Garrin once again venture to the Tower of the Gods to confront Estria, but what awaits them is an unexpected truth. In order to fully cure Aiya, the plague infecting the planet’s heart has to be purged, and that means defeating the remaining Guardians! Begrudgingly, Vianna takes up her sword once more and ventures back into Tan’tria in order to hunt Garondar, the Guardian of mountains, but braving the frozen mountains is not a task for the faint of heart, and they’ll soon learn that the shadow of the Steel Legion is far darker than they could have possibly imagined.

Harmonizer: Stampede

With the announcement of the Lonely Fortress being done, it’s only natural that we now talk about the other side of this coin! Work has begun on the third book, Stampede! I know it’s wild to talk about the next book before the second is even out, but I think it’s more than time to discuss Vianna’s next journey!

Vianna’s third book will see them hunting the Desert Shepherd, Brogahn. Instead of going north, the trio will finally be turned south. Together, they’ll face the blazing heat of Mahabata desert and all the dangers it offers, but they won’t be alone this time! Joining them will be Farush, a cantankerous, and slightly greedy, merchant quite interested in the coin he can earn alongside his new friends! With Farush’s help, braving the desert will be a far easier task, but it won’t quite be that easy. With the fall of yet another Guardian, a new force has awoken to challenge Estria’s champion. As Vianna and her friends push deeper into the desert, they’ll come face to face with an unexpected force, and it’ll be up to each of them to survive… the Stampede!

See what I did there? Book three doesn’t just have one Guardian. It doesn’t have two, or three, or even four! In fact, it doesn’t even have ten! Ladies and Gentlemen, book three will feature a whopping… Forty one Guardians! That’s right, the full force of a pack of Guardians called the Hernigans will be unleashed upon Vianna and her friends. These Guardians aren’t nearly as big as their counterparts, but they are still massive, and there are a lot of them! Try picturing yourself getting across a desert while getting run down by forty monstrosities! Stampede is pretty fitting as a name, huh?

Stampede is currently slated for the end of August or the beginning of September, so we’ll see what happens with these cover artists. In my defense, it’s genuinely out of my hands!

The Sapphire Verdict

Yes, I am once again here to talk to you about the Sapphire Verdict. Yes, it is still in progress. No, I have not given up on it. Yes, I am still working on it each day. When will it be done? Soon… ish.

In all seriousness, I am working right now on a final, final editing pass, and then I need to smoosh it together into one large manuscript like I’ve done with Harmonizer. Then it’ll be one welfare pass and then… well, then we figure out what we’re doing with it. My goal is still to try and get it traditionally published, but a part of me does want to just send it out there through self-published so I can stop thinking about it and move on with my life.

We’ll see what I end up deciding, but, no matter what happens, we are very much going to get more Sapphire Verdict. I probably shouldn’t say this, but… book 2 might already be done… Food for thought!

Art stuff!

We have ART STUFF on the way! Well, we always do, but we got more stuff this time! I have several artists currently working on pieces for me that I intend to upload here on the website and use as promotional material as well!

Additionally, I have a bigger piece I’m working on that will become a centerpiece in a future Youtube video, so keep an eye out for that one. I got inspired to start doing those types of videos were they play an hours worth of copyright free music, and I figured ‘why not do a Harmonizer themed version?’ Soon! Probably…

Conclusion

That’s all I have energy for this week. Lot’s going on, and not enough time to do it all. Don’t worry. I haven’t forgotten about the Garrin piece I promised like three weeks ago. It’s still planned, but I didn’t have time to get it to it this week, but there shall be time next week for sure! Probably…
