The Sapphire Verdict gets Real!
Ok, that might be a clickbait title, but it’s not wrong! This week’s blog we’re going to be looking at some things that have both become real and are looking at becoming real, both in terms of the Sapphire Verdict and the Harmonizer! Let’s kick things off with a certain fuzzy face that’s needed to come into existence for a while now!
Sapphiria, the plushy!
Yes, you read that right! Sapphiria finally exists as a plushy! I have wanted a physical representation for Sapphiria for a long, long time, and I am happy to show off Sapphiria’s plushy form! Take a look!
Making Sapphiria has been a long, long dreamt of moment, so it is euphoric to finally have a representation of her sitting beside me as I write! In order to bring her to life. I commissioned Kayla’s Kritterz, who can be found over at @kaylaskritterz.bsky.social, and she was quite accommodating with my more complicated request. Making Sapphiria herself wouldn’t be too much trouble, though I believe the tails proved to be a challenge, but Sapphiria isn’t quite complete without her trusty sidekick!
I was adamant that Atom be a part of this, and the best part is that he is magnetic! That’s right! He can attach to her shoulder via a magnet and can even attach to your fridge and whatever else you feel like snapping him onto. Or, I guess whatever I feel like since they’re both mine! I will probably post more pics of Atom in weird places because it amuses me.
I am super excited to finally have her here with me as I’m working, and I’m now even more determined to get this thing done! One way or another, the Sapphire Verdict is going out this next year at the absolute latest. Oh, and once the first is out, you can expect the second to be shortly behind it!
The Sapphire Verdict, Part 2
As an update, the Sapphire Verdict part 2 is well on its way to being done. Instead of trying to edit the monster version of it, which is around one million words, I decided to rewrite it using everything I’ve learned over the past year. I plan on being done with it probably mid December, and then editing it should be complete by late January or February! When it’ll be out for reading… well, that’s out of my hands for at least the time being.
Harmonizer
Last but not least in our updates for this week is Harmonizer! I am still working on finishing up the editing, but I am very much on pace to be done by the end of the month or early December! Part of this is, of course, the cover art! I am happy to finally show that off in a more completed state. Keep in mind, it is still a work in progress, but major changes are now officially off the table!
There you go! It is my pleasure to introduce Vianna, Feera, and Garrin! These three will be your primary protagonists throughout the story, and the cover even has some fun details. For starters, how about the sword she is using! Pretty strange looking, right? And what’s with the tower? Could that be important in some way? Probably, but I’ll have more to say over the coming weeks!
Conclusion
I want to put more into this, but I just do not have the brainpower this week. I’ve spent way too much energy editing and writing, so I’m going to chill this week and see about recovering some energy. Next week, I would like to do a deeper dive into Harmonizer, but only if my art is further along, so we’ll see what happens! Until next time, as always, CHEERS!
