The Lonely Fortress
Welcome back to what has steadily become a biweekly blog post! This week, I want to cover the Lonely Fortress one last time as the hour of its release finally draws near! We got quite a lot of updates, including art and a video, so let’s just jump straight in!
The Lonely Fortress Releases!
At last, the Lonely Fortress is ready to drop! This delay was… unfortunate, but we will be back on track with Stampede at the end of August or beginning of September! The Lonely Fortress officially releases on August 4th and will be available instantly on ebook AND paperback formats! PReorders should already be open for both, so feel free to go over and check them out!
With the release right around the corner, let’s touch upon the Lonely Fortress’ plot one last time!
After finishing her quest to the north, Vianna was content to enjoy her hard-won life, but her world comes crashing down when Estria's cure fails and Aiya shows symptoms of the Violet Death. Furious over Estria's seeming betrayal, Vianna, Feera, and Garrin return to the Tower of the Gods to confront her, but there they learn the truth of the insidious infliction. Their planet is dying, and the only way to save it, and all those affected by the Violet Death, is to reach the planet's core and trigger a manual purge. With their new quest set before them, the trio plots a course into Tan'tria's frozen north to find the Lonely Fortress and fell its Guardian, Garondar, but these aren't the mountains they once knew. In order to survive the frozen north, Vianna and her friends will have to learn to fight as one, or risk succumbing to the shadow of steel!
And there you have it! Vianna’s journey continues VERY soon, and, just around the corner, we will go even deeper with a dive into the foreboding landscape of Mahabata Desert!
Additionally, a new video has been released featuring the cover art from the Lonely Fortress! This track has over an hour’s worth of music packed into it featuring songs that fit the theme of the book! Give it a listen if you want some enchanting background songs!

Art
Art has continued to progress at what feels like a breakneck pace. The art for Mahabata, the one that’s been tying me up for weeks now, is NEARLY done! The animation part is pretty much entirely finished, and now I’m working on the environment related stuff for it. Once this is done, it will be composited and released in a pretty big video just like all the other pieces. I’m excited to show it off since it was my first foray into animation, so feast your eyes on a still frame! I can’t post the full thing here just yet…
With this piece nearly done, work will soon begin on the cover art for Stampede! A lot of the linework for it is already done, so I’m hoping that it might progress quite quickly, but we’ll just have to play it by ear and see what happens!
Conclusion
I’m keeping it brief this week because I have both bookwork and art that need to be worked on! I know these blogs have kinda fallen into a biweekly status, but I am hopeful about next week! I have a three day weekend, and this Fennec is planning to work on a LOT of art related stuff! Fingers crossed that I can get ahead of it all! So, until next time, as per usual… Cheers!
