Everything, everywhere, all on my to-do list!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I’m back at last! I failed my resolution a lot faster and missed a week, but hey, it was for a good reason! I think… Actually, that’s still up in the air, but stuff has been busy in real life! Let’s go ahead and shake down this week’s updates!
The Sapphire Verdict Part 2
Again, I am aware that part one isn’t even out yet. We’re getting there. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut… Part 2 is now successfully rewritten to bring it in line with the first book! It took about as long as I expected, which is rare, but has managed to bring an over one million word book all the way down to just north of 200k! Not bad for a sequel!
Obviously there’s still a lot of work to do, but that will happen in time. With part 2 wrapped up, it’s time to go back to part 1 and see what the next step needs to be in terms of getting it published. Part of me still wants to go traditional, but man is landing an agent extremely difficult in this current age! At the very least, work will be starting soon on doing an analysis of the Sapphire Verdict to determine if I should continue with what I have or make the edits that I’m considering. After all, it was an over one million word book that I crunched down to 120,000 words! There was some damage that happened, so it’s time to review and figure out what needs to happen next!
Harmonizer
Harmonizer has another new update that is worth mentioning! As of this past Sunday, work has officially begun on Harmonizer: The Lonely Fortress! Though Harmonizer was written as a standalone entry, it was never intended to be a one and done, as evident by how I left the cliffhanger. This story will continue Vianna’s journey as the Harmonizer and force her to confront the demons of the world. She’ll have to contend with the raw power of a brand new Guardian as well as the sinister actions of the Steel Legion, but the biggest fight will be none other than the fight against herself. Is being a hero really the path for her, or is it someone else’s responsibility? You’ll have to wait at least a few more months before you can find out!
Moving
This is the big reason why I skipped last week. I am in the process of moving out of my apartment due to the sudden presence of a street gang, much to my annoyance. I hate moving in the first place, and I was not prepared for a move like this, so it’s taking its sweet time to pull off. The bulk of it is behind me now though, so we will will hopefully be reporting from a brand new domicile very soon!
Art
Art is back on the menu at long last! With things starting to calm down, I’ve begun the process of looking at some new art projects to help give some more beef to the website. Specifically, I would like to start doing some line art comic stuff for Harmonizer and the Sapphire Verdict both. I think there are some really fun things I can do, and I need to work more on promoting my work in the first place. I can’t promise it’ll be soon, but it’s at least being started!
Conclusion
That’s all I really have for this week. It may not seem like much, but it has been a LOT. There’s still a lot left to go though, so hopefully next week I can come back with even more exciting things, or at least a blog on something fun, like a hobby. Until then, cheers!
