Brief Updates!
Welcome back to that time of the week! Seeing as I had the week off, I was able to take extra time and- No, this is a short blog. You would think extra time means longer blogs, but somehow it has caused the opposite. Don’t ask how. I don’t know. Anywho, this week, I want to provide some brief updates on a couple of things that are coming down the pipeline as well as what’s happening with the Sapphire Verdict!
The Sapphire Verdict
Following the insane reddit post that went viral, I’ve been working on cutting down the Sapphire Verdict massively in all the ways I wanted to the first time. With some pointers and guidance from outside sources, I’ve been able to more easily identify things that can be cut and have been going on a chainsaw massacre. At the rate I’m going, I believe I will be somewhere around 180,000 words by the time I’m done! That’s a massive jump in the right direction and puts me right on the border of finally getting this monster out. Reminder that this started at 1.4 million…
With cuts going on for the Sapphire Verdict, I’m kinda putting a hold on some of my other writing related projects, but nothing anyone on the outside sees should be impacted. Tearna’s Journal will continue to be delivered on time, and some site updates should come down this weekend as well. What this really means more than anything is that the Sapphire Verdict may actually finally see sunlight this year, but time will tell!
Site Updates
I’ll keep this brief, but I’m aiming to make some site updates this weekend. I want to update the Culture page for the Sapphire Eye so people can finally learn more about their philosophies and what makes them tick. Additionally, I believe a new page will be launching for holding future comic based art pieces. We’ll see how many of these end up coming out over time, but I suspect the first will be done possibly within the next week or two. Finally, there is a good chance that an update will be made to the short stories page to make it a little less… brown.
Social Stuff
Ark is finally starting to wind down, so a lot of my content is now shifting over to Nintendo content, specifically Pikmin speedruns at the moment. I always wanted to get more into speedrunning, but events beyond my control stopped it in the past. As of right now, I’ve managed to get fairly high on the leaderboard and am closing in on a sub 1:10, which is fantastic considering where I started! As time goes on, our Nintendo content is probably going to expand in ways that I may or may not already have planned, so stay tuned for that if you like that kind of thing!
Conclusion
I told you it was going to be short! Next week, we’ll be posting a new short story as well as a post mortem on whatever else this week brings. There’s a lot of stuff locked in the chamber right now, so who knows what next week will look like. Until then… Cheers!
